Drive Round App is built specifically for the UK driving test system. Every feature is designed to align with DVSA standards, ADI professional practice, and the official learner driver framework.
Progress tracking uses the DVSA-defined 5-level driving competency scale — from 'Prompted' to 'Independent' — across all 27 required driving skills and 8 categories. This mirrors the official Driver's Record used by ADIs.
Instructor accounts require a valid DVSA ADI (Approved Driving Instructor) or PDI (Potential Driving Instructor) licence number. This ensures learners are only linked to qualified professionals.
AI-generated lesson summaries are explicitly labelled as automated analysis and clearly state they do not replace ADI professional judgement. The app is designed to help learners recall and act on their instructor's verbal feedback — not to provide driving advice independently.
Exam routes are generated for all DVSA-approved driving test centres across the UK, based on known road types, manoeuvre requirements, and publicly available information. Routes are community-verified and date-stamped.
The app never tells learners how to drive. It records, transcribes, and summarises what their instructor told them during a lesson. The source of all coaching is always the qualified ADI.
Audio recording requires explicit in-session consent from both the learner and instructor. Recording cannot begin without consent from both parties. This aligns with GDPR and professional coaching standards.
Drive Round App is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially approved by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). "DVSA-compliant" refers to our alignment with publicly available DVSA standards and competency frameworks, not to any formal DVSA certification or partnership.
