Instructor Portal Terms

1. About these terms

These terms apply to the DriveRound instructor web portal at portal.driveround.co.uk ("the Portal"). They add to our Terms of Service, which continue to apply. You accept them in the app when you activate the Portal (More → Activate portal).

2. Who can use the Portal

  • The Portal is available to instructor accounts with an active DriveRound instructor subscription, or during a free trial until it expires.
  • When your subscription or trial ends, the Portal is locked until a paid subscription starts. The app keeps working on your phone.
  • You sign in with the same account you use in the app. Keep your sign-in details secure and do not share your account.

3. What is synced

You choose in the app which information is copied to your DriveRound account and shown in the Portal: calendar and lessons, students, payments and invoices, bank details, progress trackers, lesson analyses with the GPS routes recorded with them, recorded sessions (each recording's details and GPS route), and your text lesson notes. Bank details are only synced if you switch them on. Lesson audio and video, and voice, photo and video notes, stay on your phone.

You can send everything missing from the Portal at any time with Sync to portal (More → Web portal) in the app.

Changes you make in the Portal are sent to the app, and changes in the app appear in the Portal. If the same item is changed in both places, the most recent change is kept.

4. Your students' information

You are responsible for the information you record about your students, as you are in the app. In particular you should:

  • only record information you need to teach and manage your students;
  • tell your students that you keep their details in DriveRound, including the routes recorded during their lessons;
  • only share a lesson's route, or other lesson information, with the learner it belongs to;
  • keep your devices and computer secure, and sign out of the Portal on shared computers.

5. Switching off and deactivating

  • You can switch features off, or deactivate the Portal, at any time in the app.
  • When a subscription or trial ends, your synced information is kept for 90 days so you can pick up where you left off, and then deleted. Information on your phone is not affected.
  • Deleting your DriveRound account deletes your Portal information too.

6. Availability

We aim to keep the Portal available and your information in sync, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. Keep your own records of anything you are required to keep, such as payment records.

7. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that affects you, we will ask you to accept the new version in the app or the Portal before you continue.
